Magnificent pair of late C19th carved gilt-wood Corinthian column table-lamps.

Standing on ebonised block plinth bases ,rising to multi-stepped bases supporting fluted classical architectural column shafts with highly-detailed and well-carved acanthus leaf wrapped and cherub-mask Corinthian caps. The caps topped by an ebonised platform with re-furbished traditional-style brass fitting and bulb-holders.

Wonderful original gilding and finish .

Elegant and imposing pair of classical-design lamps of good scale and presence .

Have been professionally re-wired using cotton-covered '3 twist' period-style flex, have also been fitted with on-line switches.

Baize covered undersides .

Excellent original condition with good stability .
