Description

A superb exhibition quality 19th Century satinwood and inlaid credenza, with the original shaped white marble top with a moulded edge, the frieze below decorated with lovely quality ormolu and inlaid in rosewood, with two cupboard doors below at the center which are profusely decorated with rosewood inlay and ormolu beading, each door having a wedge wood plaque at the center, opening to reveal a single fixed shelf inside, the cabinet having at either side a mirrored back compartment with two fixed shelves, the side compartments and the two door cupboard having four turned and barley twist columns with ormolu wrapped around the barley twist, the credenza standing on a lovely shaped and inlaid plinth. Circa 1850.
