The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 1920s.
A little twist of silver forms the pommel on the handle. Inside the body, a small frame sits around the handle allowing support for the hat pins, but could be used as a posy vase if you wished. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1922, makers Harrison & Hipwood. It also has a registered design number 688376 to the side.
It measures 7 3/4" high and 1 1/8" wide. It weighs 61g. Condition is very good, there is a small bruise to one side of the base but no other damage and light surface wear from age and use.
