Description

Pretty late 19th century Dutch silver hand mirror in an ornate rococo style. Decorated with scrolls and foliage it has a pierced, lobed border with diamonds and flowers. The handle has little vignettes of portraits of ladies in fine hats and grand looking gentlemen and the end has a wavy tip. The reverse has the original claret red velvet covering.

It measures 37cm (14 1/2") long, 13.5cm (5 3/8") wide and 1.3cm (1/2") deep. Condition is very good with no damage or repairs to the silver or glass. There is a thin strip of silver around the edge of the velvet that has a few small dints. The velvet is also in very good order with just a little wear.
