Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1750s.
The shaped horizontal back splats held between circular vertical rails, with ring button tops. The lower sections of the rails turning to octagonal shaping, continued to the bottom. The arms shaped and turned as they taper outward to the flat ends. The arms supported by baluster uprights, flowing to tapered legs, finished with pad and ball feet. The legs jointed by circular stretchers, and the whole on oak rockers. The seat rushed between flat facing rails.
Height 30 inches, width 19 inches, depth 22 inches.
