A Hand Painted Art Deco Glass Lamp Shade For A Central Light Suspended Fitting.
Status:This item has been sold Sold by:Atropos Antiques
THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL EXAMPLE OF A CLASSIC ''ART DECO'' FORM OF DECORATIVE WORK.
THIS HANGING LAMP SHADE IS MADE OF GLASS AND IS SLIGHTLY FROSTED ON THE OUTSIDE. THE INSIDE HAS A SERIES OF THREE BUDGERIGARS HAND PAINTED ON BOWL. THE COLOURS ARE STILL VERY STRIKING AND THE EFFECT WHEN LIT IS SUPERB.
THE SHADE IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THERE IS A SMALL CHIP ON THE INSIDE OF THE UPPER INNER RING OF GLASS WHICH CANNOT BE SEEN AT ANY TIME WHEN THE LIGHT IS HANGING. I EXPRESS THAT THIS CHIP IS ON AN INNER SURFACE AND IN NO WAY DETRACTS FROM, OR WEAKENS THIS SHADE.
THE LAMP SHADE IS 13.5 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND HAS A THREE POINT HANGING CHAIN AS SHOWN. THE TOTAL DEPTH OF THE SHADE ITSELF IS 5.5 INCHES.
ALL QUESTIONS ARE WELCOME.
