A Hand Painted Art Deco Glass Lamp Shade for a Central Light Suspended Fitting.

1920 - 1940
Description

This is a beautiful example of a classic 'art deco' form of decorative work.

This hanging lamp shade is made of glass and is slightly frosted on the outside. The inside has a series of three budgerigars hand painted on bowl. The colours are still very striking and the effect when lit is superb.

The shade is in excellent condition. There is a small chip on the inside of the upper inner ring of glass which cannot be seen at any time when the light is hanging. I express that this chip is on an inner surface and in no way detracts from, or weakens this shade.

The lamp shade is 13.5 inches in diameter and has a three point hanging chain as shown. The total depth of the shade itself is 5.5 inches.
