Antique French Table Clock

~ French - Circa 1900 ~

~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~

A lovely Antique French Table clock, beautifully modelled in the round. Classically designed with fretted roundels to the sides and a cushioned shaped top surmounted by a winged putti with laurel wreaths, a symbol of success. It is made of gilt bronze and is well made and finished. The movement is by the renown maker Fritz Marti.

The dial is enamel on copper with a blue centre with fretted gilt.

The French movement is by Fritz Marti and is of high quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a coiled gong. Click the video clip below to hear the gong and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration. The dial is also in good condition just some hairlining. We have replaced the red fabric backing of the sound frets.

Complete with original pendulum and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
