Description

Fine late 19th.c. mahogany elbow chair c.1880. Solid mahogany frame with shaped cresting rail and neat little carved scallop detail to the back stretcher. Low arms (making it suitable for use as a desk chair) on turned supports. Over a buttoned leather upholstered seat in good quality vintage brown hide, with a serpentine front edge. Raised on carbiole front legs. Original maker’s label to the underside for Nuttall & Sons, Liverpool. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
