Pair of Regency Bronze Classical Vases

19th century
Description

A Pair of Regency Bronze Pastille Burners, Incense Burners.

Each cast as lidded vases. The lids lifting off, with fir cone finials, above slightly domed and pierced surrounds, decorated with conch shells between scrolling leaves. The bodies of campana vase shape, the rims with alternating gadroon edging above rising fluted leaves, folding over to the top. The lower body with tapering reeding to ring socles and classical leaf circular bases. The whole resting on square plinths, with small compressed ball feet to each corner.

Good quality and very nice patination.

Date c 1820.

Height 5 1/2 inches, diameter 3 3/4 inches.
