The Fancy Fox has dated this piece to the 1910s.
Large, superbly modelled ram's heads on either side and finished with a pierced, domed cover with pine cone finial. The whole is beautifully painted in bright pastels in varying bands of floral panels, stylised leaf borders and blue and gold patterns, along with lots of fine gilding. An sumptuous piece, superb for display from all angles.
It measures 15 1/2" high, 8 1/2" wide across the rams and 6 1/2" wide the other way. Condition is excellent, with no damage or restoration and minimal surface wear to enamels or gilding.
