Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
With a central rectangular knee hole drawer flanked by a further four graduating mahogany lined drawers to each pedestal. The drawers all having fine marquetry and pen-work inlaid detail in a variety of exotic woods and brass circular ring handles. The pedestal also having shell inlaid paterae and trailing harebells. The insides, outsides and back also having satinwood banded detail, and constructed from the finest solid mahogany, the whole supported on solid mahogany shaped bracket feet with inset brass castors. England circa 1890-1900
