London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the Regency era.
A superior example, the rosewood finish is a delight with fabulous grain detail and an aged patina.
Unusual and rare to find a cabinet displaying a rosewood finish to the interior as well as the exterior, a sure sign of quality, this cabinet features a velvet lined, full width drawer dressed with an ebony pull over a pair of shelves, closed behind a pair of mirror panelled doors closing with a working lock and key.

Raised on a continuous plinth with the canted corners rounded top and bottom, the angles are decorated with carved scrolls creating columns that flank the doors with their delicate carved panel frames, punctuated with foliate detail and central rosettes above the glass.
