A 9ct Gold Gents Longines Wrist Watch, 1950

1940 - 1960
Description

A 9ct gold gents Longines wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, 12.68Z, which is working well. The movement is signed with the Longines name and it has the serial number 8038732 which dates it to 1950.

The watch case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London 1950 with the name Baume, the UK importers of Longines watches. The case is in beautiful condition and it has a lovely design with the stepped bezel and curved lugs.

The lens has very light scratches, barely discernible to the naked eye.

The signed dial has probably been re-finished at some stage in its life and it is in lovely condition. Slender feuille shaped hands (with a little marking), a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

A new leather strap has been fitted.
