French Extending Parquetry Top Dining Table C.1920.

Description

Beautiful early 20th.c. French walnut extending dining table c.1920. Superb parquetry work top featuring figured burr walnut panels with inlaid stringing set with a walnut frame. On a walnut base with gracefully shaped and carved apron and legs ending in a scroll foot. Matching 29" leaves pull out from each end extending the table from 89? to a total length of 144", to seat 14 people. The leaves are a shade darker having been hidden from daylight whilst the main top and legs have mellowed to a lovely honey colour. Excellent condition.
