Victorian English Sterling Silver Heart Shaped Dish - London 1898

Description

A very pretty and romantic sterling silver tray, with an all round scalloped edge and beautifully decorated with an embossed or repousse foliate design, with a pair of Doves featured. There is a central vacant cartouche in the centre, perfect for a couple of engraved initials, if desired.

The dish is fully hallmarked for London 1898, making this a true Victorian gem, and made from by the top-notch silversmith, William Comyns. Weighing 41.99 Grams / 1.35 Troy Ounces, the dish remains in excellent condition. 4" x 3 3/4".
