Mahogany Campaign Bookshelves C.1870.

Description

Rare set of late 19th.c. four tier hanging mahogany campaign bookshelves c.1870. Designed to be fully demountable to pack away flat into an officer’s luggage they feature four solid mahogany shelves supported on beautifully turned mahogany columns. Threaded steel rods run through the uprights onto which are screwed the original brass finials, feet and hanging hoops to hold it all together. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
