The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.6 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The watch case is gold plated and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company. The case is in very nice condition.
The winding crown pushes down to release the front cover. Inside there is a plastic lens which is in good condition. The white enamel dial has a lovely appearance with the Thomas Russell & Son name and logo, and also Tempus Fugit (time flies). It is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
