Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The top of each section has fine filigree carving and below, 8 panels are carved with three dimensional linen fold carving.
The screen has traditional peg construction and hand made brass hinges, both sides of the screen are identical
The screen is a stunning piece, it is large and very heavy, it is in good condition some of the filigree sections do have very old repairs but they are imperceptible in normal use
The screen is 83” high and when fully extended it is 71” wide (each fold is about 24” wide)
