Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 1850s.
Each with a faun with waved hair, held within a grape and vine leaf crown, the fauns standing against a tree trunk, with arms clasping a pair of vine leaf branches, which sweep outward and upward with rings of flowers, upon which rest fluted and leaf decorated vases, with bead edge drip pans, and candle holders. The fauns stand on naturalistic circular bases, finished with leaf and berry rims.
Fully rewired and read for use.
Date c 1850.
