housed in a gilt frame this large and striking portrait is a true statement piece.
 
The size of the painting is 133.5cm by 81cm (52¼ x 31¾ inches)
 
including the frame the size is 152.5 cm x 99cm approx (60 x 39 inches approx)
 
The painting is In fully restored condition. Re lined, cleaned and re varnished.
 
having had some strengthening and overpainting in places.Fine craquelure throughout

John Singer Sargent (January 12, 1856 – April 14, 1925) was an American artist,
