This pair of antique French armchairs have beautifully shaped frames with double cane all around, plus cane on the seats. These chairs are very strong & sturdy. They have some good carvings on the backs & on the legs. The wood is either solid mahogany or walnut & I would say these chairs date to around the 1910-20's period. I just had the cushions made with feathers inside, but they could be used without them & they look smart either way. The frames have just been given an over polish, so there are a few small markings on the wood, but nothing significant. The cane is all in good original condition & these chairs look great from all angles.
