Pair of Antique Swedish Biedermeier Satin Birch Armchairs

Description

Very stylish pair of antique Swedish armchairs in satin birch, with ebonised parts & ebony inlay. I would date them to around the 1880 period & they are in excellent original condition. The wood is really Tiger Birch, with a wonderful grain & silky finish. They have Trafalgar backs, scrolled over arms & sabre legs. Typical Empire style or what some people call Biedermeier. I have just had them re-upholstered in a stain resistant fabric.
