Edwardian Mahogany & Inlaid Bureau Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

A very good quality Edwardian bureau bookcase in Mahogany dating from circa 1910. With moulded cavetto cornice, adjustable shelves, double glazed doors, slope fall front, above three drawers on cabriole supports. In a richly figured mahogany inlaid with stringing (even the shelves have stringing). The interioris fitted with 7 pigeon holes and 2 drawers and the fall inset with green insert. A very stylish and high quality piece, in good condition, it comes with working locks and keys to the bookcase, fall and drawers. The locks are all stamped with initials – presumably a good maker from the late 19th/early 20th century.
