Description

Very handsome late 19th.c. elm ‘smokers bow’ type desk armchair c.1880. Shaped backrest and arms on turned spindles with an unusual roundel back splat at the centre. Over a large single piece elm saddle seat raised on turned legs set at a splayed angle for stability and joined with turned double stretchers. Excellent condition and particularly good colour and patina.
