Exceptional Early 17th Century Oak Mule Chest, Salisbury Circa 1620 - 1630

The original two plank top over an extensively carved front. With 3 panels each carved with a double headed eagle and the two drawer fronts carved with coiled serpents.
 
In excellent condition retaining its original candle box and displaying wonderful colour and patination.
 
Provenance: The double headed eagles implying a connection to the Speke Family of Somerset.
