Queen Anne Style Burr Walnut Bureau

1900 - 1920
Description

An excellent Queen Anne style bureau of inverted serpentine form. Very well made in solid walnut with attractive burr walnut veneers. The fall front, the top and the drawer fronts are all cross banded. The lockable fall front opens to reveal a fitted interior with a series of small drawers, a central cupboard and pigeon holes. Beneath , there are three lockable drawers all fitted with their original brass drop handles. The whole bureau stands on elegant cabriole legs which terminate in pad feet and have applied carved shell motifs to their knees. We have had this charming bureau sympathetically repolished to a very high standard. It is now offered for sale in excellent condition with a wonderful depth of colour.
