George III Mahogany Bureau of Unusual Small Size

Description

A thoroughly original 18th century George III period mahogany BUREAU of unusually small size and fine warm colour.

The solid mahogany fall (with working key) opens to reveal a particularly well-fitted interior with a total of 14 small drawers surrounding two pigeonholes and the central cupboard with two secret drawers. Below are four long graduated drawers, all oak-lined and with their original 'pierced' brass handles and escutcheons. It is supported on good original bracket feet and measures just 30ins (76cms) wide.
