Description

Very impressive late 19th.c. French walnut armoire or wardrobe c.1880. Highly decorative front with a deep moulded cornice featuring male and female carved heads over mirror doors flanked with twist carved and turned columns with Corinthian capitals. The plinth base repeats the shape of the cornice and features two drawers with carved fronts and oak linings with turned bun feet to the front edge. Panelled sides and rear. Interior with three loose shelves which could be easily removed to make hanging space. Some minor wear to the mirrors, generally very good unrestored condition. Comes apart for ease of delivery.
