On offer for sale is this very good large deep Japanese Imari bowl dating to the first quarter of the 18th century. The bowl is in undamaged and unrestored condition and only the inside around the well of the bowl shows signs of wear to the enamels and underglaze blue. With a diameter of 24.5cm and 11.2cm high it is of a good and attractive size. The decoration of a standard floral design including floral panels to the inside of the bowl with well painted chrysanthemums and strong enamel colours around the outside. Rare in in this size and condition.
