River Landscape in Evening Light - Oil Painting

Description

Superb river landscape painted in the early evening and signed by Belgium artist Emile Lammers (1914-1990). The oil on canvas is in excellent condition and is mounted in a quality wooden frame.

Emile Lammers was born in St Joost-ten-Node in 1914 and was a student of Paul Mathieu. He is known for his landscapes, city views and woodland scenes.

The painting dates from circa 1940-1950.
