Kendal & Dent Dustproof Lever Silver Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

Kendal & Dent’s Dustproof Lever silver pocket watch, circa 1900.

Kendal & Dent were highly respected watchmakers, including watchmakers to the admiralty.

The watch has a key-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is protected by an inner fitted cover and also an inner hinged cover which is engraved Kendal & Dent’s Dustproof Lever, Swiss Made. A winding key is included.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is 935 silver so slightly purer than the 925 sterling silver. The front of the watch is in good condition… the case back has some unevenness and some indentations.

The watch glass has a small chip to the bevelled edge and a few light short scratches.

The white enamel dial is in good condition.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
