Smiths De Luxe Wrist Watch, Made in England

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Smiths De Luxe wrist watch, made in England.

The watch has a 17-jewel hand-winding movement, 27 CS, which is working well.

The watch itself measures 31.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated and it is in lovely condition. There are three patches of corrosion to the snap-on case back.

The lens is in good order.

The part textured dial has a very handsome appearance and it is in good condition too. Original hands, centre seconds and minute markers.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
