Description

A Very High Quality fall front Secretary or writing cabinet in Satin Wood superbly painted with a central medallion of a scene after Raphael, and delicately painted ribbon and floral wreaths, the sides are also painted with floral wreathes and the head of a satyr the top is also painted. The fall front opens to reveal letter compartments and trays with a faded brown baize working surface. There is a faded pink pleated silk modesty panel below , the whole is supported by a frame veneered in Satin Wood with four brass castors.
