A 1920s Valjoux Chronograph Pocket Watch

Description

A 1920s Valjoux chronograph pocket watch.

The watch has a Valjoux 5 stem-winding movement which is working nicely. Originally there would have been a hinged cover over the movement but this has gone missing over the years.

The watch itself measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is nickel… the front of the case is in lovely condition and there is some unevenness and marking to the back.

The watch glass is in good order.

The white enamel dial is in beautiful condition. There are two subsidiary dials, constant seconds at 6 o’clock and 30 minute dial at 12 o’clock.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
