Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
There are some marks and minor blemishes to the shelves as to be expected with an antique piece of this period (clearly shown in the photographs), these only add the character and authenticity of this lovely piece. This whatnot would work well in either a traditional or more contemporary interior, either displaying traditional treasures or a modern collection.
