Description

Pretty little Worcester polychrome sparrow beak cream jug, c.1770. Iron red frieze on the inside rim and Japanese influence decoration of flowers and insects in Kakiemon type colours of red, pink and turquoise. Classic grooved strap handle and shallow collet foot.

It measures 3 1/4" high and 3 1/4" spout to handle. Condition is very good; there is a small professional repair to the tip of the spout and some small frits to the foot rim. Very light surface wear and the decoration is still lovely and bright.
