Description

Pretty set of 6 late 19th century Dresden porcelain demi-tasse coffee cups with raised scrolled handle. A cobalt blue ground with individual vignettes of courting couples hand painted on each one. Lots of gilded detail and raised white beading set them off beautifully. They have the Vienna style shield mark to the base.

The measure 9cm high, 6.5cm rim to rim and 8cm rim to handle. Condition is very good; one has a very small professionally restored section to the rim (see the last 2 photos). The others are all fine and surface wear is very good with just a little rubbing to the gilding in places.
