London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the Victorian era.

Beneath the top, the frieze is book matched in flame mahogany adding interest and proportion over the 'two over three' drawer configuration with the bottom, 'jumper drawer' generous in depth. The cabinet raised on attractive 'honey pot', cup and cover turned feet.

The drawers are well constructed with cock beading, dove tail joints, original turned pulls in a complimentary dark finish and brass keyhole linings.
The brass locks are present but the key absent.
A delightful mid-sized chest of drawers with solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
