W.J. Gravener Antiques Ltd. has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The rectangular frieze drawer with a typical aesthetic style brass handle and registered design stamps. The sides having curved brass umbrella stands, all supported on shaped supports and united by a brass galleried under-tier with typical Shoolbred brass capped feet. In very good and original condition. The back has the label W.A. & S. Smee, Finsbury Pavement who were caninet makers and upholsterers working in London from around 1802 until the early 20th century.
