1900 - 1920
Description

Arts & Crafts Period oak Scottish school bookcase. The upper section with a raised galleried back and pierced detail, a stylised ebony and pewter inlaid motif and with circular Voysey style capped uprights. The twin glazed doors also with stylised pewter, marquetry and ebony roundels and opening to reveal an adjustable shelved interior. The lower section with oak fielded panelled doors with stylised inlaid tendrils, enclosing a single shelf above a shaped apron with "squashed heart" pierced detail. Indicative in style of furniture designed and produced by Wylie Lochhead, Glasgow. Scottish C1900

Dimensions: 76" high x 39" wide x 15.5" deep (shelves 10" deep)

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
