Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The upper section of the Cupboard or Trophy Cupboard has 2 Doors glazed in coloured leaded Glass enclosing up to 3 adjustable book shelves. This is supported in by the centre section which has rampant lions at each side. The doors on the lower section of the bookcase are carved with a Hare and a Game bird, this also has a shelf and 2 drawers with Lions mask handles on the front and the interior of the cupboard is shelved.
The Bookcase is very tall but it breaks down into three pieces for transportation, I have included pictures of it assembled with out the centre section, it works just as well this way and would not be too high for most modern rooms. It is in very good condition for its age
The bookcase is 94” high, 55” wide and 25” deep, 0r 83” tall without the middle section
