Georgian Oak Welsh Dresser Base C.1810.

18th century
Description

Late Georgian oak three drawer open dresser base c.1810. Single plank top with mahogany cross banding and applied mouldings over three cross banded drawers. With a particularly attractive shaped apron to the front and sides with a scrolling edge and three heart shaped cutaways. Panelled oak sides and long stiles which continue to the ground as slim tapering legs. Lovely mellow honey coloured timbers and excellent condition. Later handles and one replacement escutcheon. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops
