The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a hand-winding movement which is working nicely.
The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the wire lugs.
From 1 June 1907, Stockwells acted as assay agents, facilitating the import into Britain of foreign gold and silver items, which had to be assayed and hallmarked in a UK assay office before being released for retail. There is some unevenness to the hinged case back but otherwise the case is in good condition.
The watch glass has light marks.
The enamel dial has a handsome appearance with the red number 12, an outer minute track and blued steel hands in the Breguet style. There is a small chip to the centre but not too noticeable to the naked eye.
A later black leather strap has been fitted.
