Fabulous Art Deco Sterling Silver and Guilloche Enamel Lidded Powder Box

Description

A beautiful piece of thick English crystal was used to create this stunning vanity box, with deep hand-cut decoration. The lid fits well made from sterling silver, double-walled which is a true sign of quality, a little loose piece of something remains inside from manufacture with a rattle when shaken.

The silver has a full English hallmark for Birmingham 1936 together with the makers initials for the Daniel Manufacturing Company.

The top of the octagonal lid is smothered in a fabulous pale teal colour with a glossy patina showcasing the typically Deco engine turning below.

Excellent condition, measuring 4 1/2" in diameter x 2 1/2" tall.
