Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
This Old and roomy cupboard is made in beautifully figured Elm, the doors have scalloped shaped panels and the front is decorated with carved with leaves and fruit, the date of the Armoire is picked out at the top in small brass studs
The doors have long etched brass escutcheons, hinges and there is a lock and key

The cornice at the top of the cupboard is removable as are the doors, and the whole piece can be taken apart as it has pegged construction, this makes it suitable piece for a difficult access
All in all this is piece is in good condition for its age, it has been restored at some time, mainly the shelving has been renewed

The cupboard stands 80” high it is 58” wide and 24”deep
