Quiet Street Antiques of Bath has dated this piece to the 1850s.
The well-figured octagonal top has a frieze with egg-and-dart mouldings around the lower edge, and it is supported on a particularly well-carved and turned central column, leading to 'hipped' rosewood tripod legs and "turret" feet with original brass castors. A pretty and useful occasional table. 14ins (35.5cms) diameter.
