Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The desk has a new Tooled Tan Leather, beneath there are three drawers, each Pedestal has a cupboard door, the one on the left encloses 3 slide drawers, the other has a shelved cupboard, this cupboard is somewhat deceptive as it is very shallow, and hidden behind with access from the side there is a secret cupboard which is big enough to conceal a safe.

This is a large desk it is made in Oak and has decorative Parquetry panels on the front, the brass work is typical of the Arts and Crafts movement dating it from around 1880, the back of the desk has moulded decoration as it was meant to be seen from all sides
