The interior is clean and has the characteristic smell of camphor, the use of camphor wood for trunks such as this, is that the natural oils in the wood are known to repel harmful insects and moths, which might have been encountered in the owners travels

The trunk is covered in heavy quality hide, it has brass bound edges and a brass studded decoration on the top and front, on the sides there are brass carrying handles
This is an old piece with a pleasant used look, it is in in good condition no worm or any other defects

The box measures 36’’ wide x 19” deep and stands 16’’ high
