A Gents 1950s Zodiac Wristwatch

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1950s Zodiac wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 1094 17-jewel hand-winding movement (based on the ETA 1080) which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zodiac name.

The watch measures 33.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold plated with a stainless steel snap-on case back which has a 1956 personalised engraving. The case is in good condition with just the odd minor mark but overall very nice for a 1950s piece.

The lens is in good order.

The signed dial has a subtle textured finish which is in good condition, just a little darkening. Original hands, centre seconds hand and an outer minute track.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
